What can I take to a Household Chemical CleanOut event?

You can take household quantities of the following household chemicals and items – up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item.

You can take these items to a Household Chemical CleanOut event:
1. Solvents and household cleaners
2. Floor care products
3. Ammonia-based cleaners
4. Pesticides and herbicides
5. Poisons
6. Pool chemicals
7. Hobby chemicals
8. Acids and alkalis
9. Motor fuels

You can take these items to either a Household Chemical CleanOut event, or to a Community Recycling Centre.
1. Fluorescent globes and tubes
2. Smoke detectors
3. Paint and paint-related products
4. Gas bottles
5. Fire extinguishers
6. Car and household batteries
7. Motor oils and cooking oils

Business-related and commercial quantities of chemicals are not accepted.
